yeah anyway, i went back to Malaysia for the winter holidays as most of you would know. My dad planned a sort of last minute trip to Beijing while i was home, so yeap i effectively spent only about 2 weeks eating roti chanai, char kuey teow and what have you.
Nothing significant happened while i was back home, i did the usual stuff, hang out with friends, went out every single day the first week! thanks to Alicia!! haha! which reminds me, babe!! we didnt take any photos while we were home you know!! I know we're not the camwhoring type but come on, not even a single shot k? jeezz...now u're back in Sydney adi..nvm la i go see u during my semester break..teeehee
Ya so, after that very eventfull first week, i was off to Beijing with my family. People don't visit Beijing this time of the year cause it's so freakin hot there. Hence, we boarded a tiny plane (Airbus 330 if im not mistaken) and guess what? The freakin plane doesnt freakin have any freakin entertainment! (Note: i'm using the word freakin just to state my point. It does NOT in any way mean f***ing) Unbelievable! and i was so looking forward to watching Shooter on the plane..grrr...
so i ended up reading...for 6 hours!! 2 magazines in 6 hours! i must have read every article..and it wasn't even the most interesting of magazines. My bro brought The Economist and New Scientist. The New Scientist mag had 2 ferrets posing in the front cover..dots..
Anyway, we survived the dreadful flight, checked into our accomodation and went for dinner. Spent 9 days there..visited tourist spots (ie The Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Great Wall of China, Temple of Heaven, etc etc). Weather there was unbearably hot, and Beijing people are just as rude as they've ever been, even when the 2008 Olympics is just a stone's throw away! They spit, they talk like no one's listening, and their 3 year olds wear pants that have a slit at the back, so they can shit and pee wherever they want!Don't get me wrong, but i think the people of Beijing have gone from uncivilised to civilised (during the dynasties) back to uncivilised. Amazing! But otherwise, i'd say overall, the trip was pretty enjoyable! Anything is enjoyable so long its with family! :) im a family girl..hehe
Here are some photos i took, they're not that good...I have more, but its in the other camera and silly me, i forgot to bring them back to melb..oops!

The best photo of the Forbidden City i currently have. Its actually known as the Palace Museum, but quite alot of foreigners still call it the Forbidden City.

The temple of Heaven, this is where the emperor comes and prays to the Gods of Heaven.

I don't remember where this was taken. Probably in the Forbidden City. I just put it up coz the colours look pretty?
I'd put up more, but those are the nicest ones i currently have, the rest are vain shots of me, my bro and I or shots with family..hehe..i wont put those up.
There you are. How i spent my holidays. Feels like im back in primary school and your teacher asks you to write a "How i spent my Holiday" essay! lol.
